• about 36,000 people die from flu-related causes.

The CDC created that estimate in 2003 based on respiritory related deaths. Not just the flu. 90 percent of people who actually die from the flu are over 65.

What about SWINE FLU?

Over the past few days, I have been asked one question more than any other.  The question is, “Hey Doc, what do you think about this Swine Flu scare?”  My response has been the same to everyone who has asked me.  “I think flies don’t cause garbage!”  Upon first hearing this response, some of people are sure I’ve been eating some funky mushrooms or something.  But think about it – You don’t ever look at a pile of garbage with a bunch of flies buzzing around it and think, “Look at all the garbage these flies brought with them!” do you?

Stupid Bodies, Smart Drugs and Microchips

Reuters is reporting today that VeriChip Corp has been granted an exclusive license to two patents for implantable biosensor virus detection systems in humans that can detect the H1N1 and other viruses, and biological threats such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus.

“If we can teach our bodies to recognize and destroy cancer cells through the use of these new vaccines, well, the possibilities are really, really exciting!” This statement was made on WGN Radio in Chicago this week in an interview with Dr. Kevin Most, Vice President of Medical Affairs at Central Du Page Hospital near Chicago.

Canada has purchased H1N1 vaccine that lacks a chemical booster called an adjuvant for use in pregnant women, because there is limited data on the safety of the advjuvant in pregnant women, Canada’s chief public health officer, Dr. David Butler-Jones, said.

Unfortunately, safety of vaccines in pregnant women and very young children hasn’t been well documented.
